Fretboard scales
Same notes, two maps. Start with CAGED to see where the chords live, then use mode positions to run through the scale.

Shape
Practice path: pick one shape, play its chord (the line), then its chord tones anywhere in the box, then add pentatonic notes, then the full scale. Move to the next shape and repeat. Split dots belong to two neighbouring shapes, which is where boxes connect.
Count from
Each position starts on the next scale note on the low E string, so they climb mostly 2 frets at a time (1 fret at the half steps). Click a bar to switch position. The notes never change; only the fingering and starting note do.

Chords in the key
Stack every other scale note on each degree (1-3-5, 2-4-6…) and you get these seven chords. Roman numerals: UPPERCASE = major, lowercase = minor, ° = diminished. Click any chord to hear it and see its anatomy below.

Reading chord names
Finger numbers: 1 index · 2 middle · 3 ring · 4 pinky. x = don't play that string · o = open string · bar = lay finger 1 across several strings (barre). Labels under each diagram show what each string plays in the chord.
